Abstract: In the present paper a psychotherapy model for cancer patients is described. The model, based on clinical hypnosis and cognitive behavior therapy, includes the following strategies: basic relaxation abilities, mintal trening for imunology mechanism improvement, direct and indirect sugestions, trance induction for pain controle and negative thoughts and beliefs modiffication. Based on clinical observations the authors consider that clear and direct communication of the diagnosis has a negative suggestive effect on cancer patients.
