Abstract:
The present analysis entitled „The Ppsycho-Professional Pprofile of the Restorer” starts from the hypothesis that the professional performance in the restoration domain is based on a set of features and special abilities and that the restorer’s professional profile could be made by means of the Eysenck personality test and also through observations. As a result of the analysis, I was able to bring to light the restorer’s special abilities. These are the technical abilities (observation, manual dexterity, technical intuition, capacity of spatial forms and relations) and the artistic abilities resulting from chromatic sensitivity, sense of colour, knowledge of forms and proportions. The restorer possesses sensorial qualities, such as: visual, tactile, chromatic and olfactory. Besides these abilities, the restorer has also some psychological and psychosocial qualities, such as: precision, exigency, calm, patience, scrupulosity, independence, flexibility of mind, intrinsec motivation, good capacity of adaptation, responsability and consciousness, sociability.
