Abstract:
The main objective of the present research is personality sounding, disclosure of the most important personality traits in order to deeply acquaint the civil servant therefore it will form an starting point for recruiting, forming and improving of Local Public Administration staff. Were followed the possible existing connections between human personality and civil servant professional practicing, with identifying of personality traits which can optimize professional performance and connection of these traits with professional efficiency. Investigation material used is composed of recognized tests in scientific world calibrated on Romania population: California Psychological Inventory, Work Values Inventory. and Eysenck Personality Inventory, together with a questionnaire build to highlight some professional traits imperative needed in order to obtain the most complete and relevant psychoprofessional profile of civil servant. Professional traits and abilities resulted after this study go to a psychoprofessional profile of civil servant. After the apperarance freguency end after the intensity manifestation in the professional activity of the civil servant, this psychoprofessional profile is composed on : 1. extraversion, to mention that thys trait must be accompany from the high degree manifestation of emotional stability; 2. social presence; 3. responsability; 4. tolerance; 5. interrelation ability; 6. high aspiration level; 7. adaptation and social conformism. This profile can get to elaboration of specific recruiting and selection instrument of the civil servant.
