No 2011/413, Papers from Osterreichish-Rumanischer Akademischer Verein Abstract: This study presents in a theoretical and applications way the problem of coping strategies optimization, focusing on interfaces produced by communication and assertivity. Coping strategies includes the totality of mechanisms of which one person has to cope with life situations, eventual problems or crisis. Coping strategies refer to the specific efforts, both behavioral and psychological, that people employ to master, tolerate, reduce, or minimize stressful events. The optimization of these mechanisms through psychotherapy and/or counseling will allow the individuals to respond properly to the inner and external requirements and therefore to obtain a higher level of satisfaction in any domains of there life - personal, familial, social and professional. The optimization of coping strategies that would lead to efficiency, involves the mastering of such abilities like communication and team work that allow the correct assessment of the situation. Their social implication and the impact towards the others persons it facilitates the adequate requirement of help and obtaining the desired results. Of this aspect we can talk about the necessity of an assertive behaviour. Assertive behaviour implies the request of your own rights or the refusal of some duties in such simple, direct and open manner which has not the purpouse to deny, to attack or to manipulate the others. This attitude involving respect and consideration regarding your own person as well as others around you and it is well-known that an assertive behaviour is clear, open and direct communication. The goal of acting in an assertive way builds and improves people's ability to take charge in their own lives.
