Abstract:
This article deal with the problem of therapeutic effect of motion picture on the spectator. Psychoanalysis and analytic psychology emphasize the cathartic aspect of cinema and the sustaining of individuation’s process. Sometimes, the movie/phantasy, through its narcissistic nature opposes to the process and tends to modify the world and let the subject unchanged. An illustrative case will be presented.
