Abstract:
Development of the Russian banking system is divided into several stages after systemic crisis in 1998 Each of these stages is characterized by a variety of external parameters and directly implemented strategies - monetary policy, policy on fundraising, development of financial markets. At each stage varied institutional structure of financial flows. Analysis of the stages of development of the Russian economy and its financial sector is represented not only and not so much in the context of describing the history of the development. Each of the selected stages represents a model of economic development (though not their full set). The most important is the issue of choosing a model of economic development of Russia in the current decade. Economic growth should ideally be accompanied not by structural imbalances, but instead improving the institutional structure of financial flows involving the ability of the national financial sector to promote the progressive development and resist external shocks.
