Abstract:
The work carries out identification and comparative analysis of the most popular methods of empirical assessment of the effects of antitrust policy. These methods include financial analysis of events, simulation modeling and the quasi-experimental method (difference difference method). Based on the study of the features of these methods, recommendations are made for their practical use. The work also identifies the external effects of antitrust policy - including environmental and social effects, effects on the development of industries and transboundary effects - which do not fit into the accepted methods of empirical assessment, but nevertheless deserve further consideration when implementing anti-monopoly measures.
