Abstract:
At present, Russia is on its way to a difficult stage, which is characterized by a natural decline in the country's population. Against the background of the declining fertility potential due to the small number of women, reducing mortality is an important way to reduce the natural population decline. To date, several approaches to the assessment and classification of diseases have been developed, the lethal outcome of which can be attributed to premature mortality. Their differences are explained not only by the fact that they are based on different versions of the coding system of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), but also by the fact that in later versions an extended list of diseases was considered. The aim of this work is to analyze and systematize existing studies on preventable mortality.
