Abstract: The production function is one of the basic concepts of economic theory. As a basis for modeling the behavior of enterprises used in the production functions quite a wide range of economic issues, where the explicit or implicit form is required to establish correspondence between the input-output. One of the objectives in constructing the first empirical Cobb-Douglas in 1928 was to analyze the relationship the marginal product of labor and remuneration. Since the mid-20th century, the production functions widely used in studying the problems of economic growth, technological progress evaluation. This study reviews the theoretical and empirical work in the field decomposition of economic growth based on production functions.
