Abstract: In the context of globalization, economic activities become more complex and are influenced by a large number of factors, which need to be controlled and managed effectively. This also happens with projects, thus an increased need for qualified and competent project managers arose. The result was a greater focus on competence development in the field of project management, mainly through education and training activities. The paper aims at developing a set of recommendations regarding quality development for education and training in project management in the framework of the International Project Management Association (IPMA) standards.
