Abstract: The paper is based on the results of the researches that I have conducted during the Ph.D studies within "Carol I-st" National Defense University. The main idea promoted by this paper is the need for a radical change in the military education curricula. This action is requested by the profile of the future military men and women who will live and work in a knowledge society. The project is focused on modelling a military education system which is focused on time and financial efficiency of educational programes. More than that, those education programs for different level of studies must include subjects designed to develop profesional abilities as: capacity and motivation for life long learning; project management based activity; initiative; creativity; all of those being competences specific for a worker in the knowledge organization.
