Abstract: This article reports the implementation of a hybrid inter-university workshop on Contract Management, developed under the PROFIID 2025 funding scheme of the University of La Serena (ULS), Chile. The project interconnected students and faculty from the Industrial Civil Engineering programs of ULS (La Serena) and the Universidad Arturo Prat (UNAP, Iquique) through a shared Moodle platform, hybrid classrooms equipped with cameras and microphones at each campus, and active learning methodologies including role-play simulations, case-based learning, and collaborative negotiation exercises. Two sessions were delivered during October and November 2025, with approximately 18 students from both institutions. The experience validated the technical and pedagogical feasibility of synchronous hybrid inter-university instruction, while revealing a critical administrative barrier: current student mobility regulations among Chilean state universities restrict credit transfer to non-professional elective courses, thereby precluding formal credit recognition for professionally classified subjects. The findings provide a robust empirical foundation for an expanded PROFIID 2026 proposal that incorporates a quasi-experimental design with control groups, validated rubrics, and a target publication in an indexed journal. Results suggest that hybrid inter-university education represents a high-impact pathway for developing advanced digital competencies, regional professional networks, and distributed collaboration skills aligned with Industry 4.0 demands.
