Abstract: This document analyzes COVID-19 data in Argentina from a demographic standpoint. After three months of detecting the first case in the country, the number of confirmed cases exceeds seventeen thousand and there have been more than five hundred fifty deaths attributed to this disease. For the analysis, various data sources were used, although all the information comes from the National Ministry of Health. The fundamental conclusions are: a high selectivity of the virus regarding mortality and contagion by sex and age, an increase in the number of positive cases and an important control of mortality. Age is a very accurate predictor of mortality, and social determinants affect female morbidity more than male morbidity, and male mortality, but not female. Argentina would be very close to reaching the maximum daily death rate, and it could be expected to reach the maximum accumulated by October of this year. The prediction about positive cases is much less accurate and will crucially depend on the measures adopted in the City of Buenos Aires, and in the provinces of Buenos Aires and Chaco.
