Abstract: The paper deals with the annual assessment of the national level of entrepreneurial activity under the international project "Global Entrepreneurship Monitor". Authors provide the analysis of factors that influence the level of entrepreneurship in Russia. They also give exploration of the role of entrepreneurship in national economic growth and comparative evaluation of the level of entrepreneurship activity in Russia and other countries.
