Abstract:
This report aims to provide, through an extensive review of the literature, a comprehensive overview of the current (2015) knowledge base regarding the valuation of coastal and marine ecosystem services (ES), placing emphasis on the analysis of both the policy implications of current studies as well as on existing challenges. It aims to contribute not only to the role EV/ECBA can play in the management of coastal and marine ecosystems, but also to promote discussion among social and ecological researchers about further research needs
