Abstract: [TR] Calismada asgari ucretin genc erkeklerde isgucu ve egitim durumlarini nasil etkiledigi incelenmistir. [EN] This study estimates the impact of the youth minimum wage policy on labor market and education outcomes of young males. Using difference-in-discontinuities approach, I analyze the extent to which abolishing age-specific minimum wage policy affects employment, unemployment, labor force participation and being neither in employment nor in education. The results suggest that removal of age-specific minimum wage structure reduces youth employment and their labor force participation, while increasing their unemployment. Yet, this policy change supports compulsory education policies via increasing youth education. Since policy change increases probability of being neither in employment nor in education, youth should be directed towards school with appropriate policies.
