No 97-J-10, CIRJE J-Series from CIRJE, Faculty of Economics, University of Tokyo
Abstract:
The origin of the modern capitalism appeared in response to large scale shocks of the World Wars and the Great Depression. In this sense, the "thirty years' crisis" was filled with structural changes. This paper shows various economic policies to cope with difficulties of the period and their international economic back-grounds.
