Abstract:
The article aims to analyze the profile of the Brazilian Tax Burden from the competence of the taxes that make up the Total Tax Revenue, highlighting a division between federal, state and municipal taxes. The objective is to clarify, in a preliminary character, the organization of the Brazilian tax system and to initiate an economic-financial discussion about the profile of State Revenues, an end to contribute to an in-depth discussion about a situation of Public Finance in the country, pointing out proposals alternatives to the adoption of policies restrictive of economic activity and regressive from the point of view of the rights of the citizen, as guaranteed in the Federal Constitution of 1988.
