Abstract:
This document aims to present the methodological foundations for calculating human capital in Uruguay between 1981 and 2023, based on the Encuestas Continua de Hogares. Human capital is understood as the quantity and productivity of the human resources available in an economy. Therefore, the estimates are based on three main variables: the number of workers, hours worked, and returns to education.
