Abstract: The Review of Maritime Transport examines trends and developments in international seaborne trade, ports, and shipping. Given that more than 80% of the volume of world trade in goods is carried by sea, and an even higher share in most developing countries, the report provides analysis of the structural and cyclical factors affecting maritime transport. It also includes a comprehensive collection of statistics on seaborne trade, shipping, ports, and related maritime activities.
