Abstract: Het Programma Schoolmaaltijden is in het voorjaar van 2023 van start gegaan. Basisscholen waarbij meer dan 30% van hun leerlingenpopulatie uit lage-inkomensgezinnen komt, komen in aanmerking voor deelname. Na aanmelding van de school kunnen zij op school maaltijden verzorgen voor hun leerlingen of ouders voorzien van boodschappenkaarten om boodschappen mee te doen. Welke effecten heeft het programma op de lees- en rekenvaardigheden van leerlingen? In dit factsheet presenteren we resultaten uit onderzoek die antwoord geven op deze vraag.
