Abstract: Achieving Goal 5 on gender equality will require mainstreaming of gender aspects across all investment areas, including health and education, through such initiatives as gender budgeting. Moreover, behavioural and legislative changes are needed to address gender- related discrimination and violence and to enhance women’s economic participation.
