No 373404, Competition & Regulation Times from New Zealand Institute for the Study of Competition and Regulation

Abstract: In June this year, the Commerce Commission gave the go-ahead to Cavalier Wool Holdings Ltd's offer for the assets of (and certain shares held by) New Zealand Wool Services International Ltd. The Commission's decision was noteworthy as the first successful authorisation under the Commerce Act 1986 since 2000. Trish Keeper provides an overview of the decision, outlines the nature of the legal tests required, and identifies some areas of uncertainty with those tests.
