No 37, Global Poverty Monitoring Technical Note Series from The World Bank

Abstract: This note introduces the 13th edition of the Global Database of Shared Prosperity (GDSP). Shared prosperity is the growth in per capita household income or consumption of the poorest 40 percent of the population. This edition of the GDSP revises figures released in November 2024 with the latest data available for 88 economies for circa 2016-2021, including data on fourteen new countries. This note describes the GDSP, documents the available data, and highlights the main differences with the 12th edition.
