Abstract:
Detailing the rise of intra-African FDI, the authors suggest that this has the ability to improve Africa's competitiveness, but requires a combination of improved market access and industrial policies (related to cluster and infrastructure development and the use of local inputs) to ensure that host country domestic suppliers benefit.
