Chinese FDI in the EU: learning from the renewable energy sector

Abstract: Chinese foreign direct investments in the EU are helping to integrate the Chinese and EU renewable energy industries. This Perspective discusses recent trends, motivations, and location choice of Chinese investors in the EU, as well as policy implications in light of economic and technological challenges to the sector.
