Abstract:
Sustainability trends are to be found in logistics today as green logistics or product - respectively company - carbon footprints. Within this evolving field of logistics several research areas are developing such as CO2 measurement standardization, integrated management concepts and process changes in relation to the implementation of new transport mode and propulsion systems in cargo transport. But one major hurdle for the further implementation of green logistics concepts is the existing qualification gap for all process and management levels in logistics. This research paper addresses this gap by suggesting a modular qualifications systems for green logistics derived from the European Qualifications Framework.
