Abstract: Logistics commands a huge variety of dynamic developments, driven by technological, organizational as well as market changes. Within this dynamic environment, logistics management demands a competent and flexible workforce, updated by current training and qualification tools. At the junction of logistics qualification and serious games, the research efforts of the project MARTINA encompass the design and implementation of mobile learning concepts aimed at both blue and white collar employees in the field of logistics - with the goal to provide insight into well-defined topics (first aid, cargo securing, dangerous goods, customer care, etc.) as well as providing opportunities to gain a more holistic view of the enterprise an individual is part of. The current paper elaborates on the range of topics that have been elected to feature in the first iteration of the MARTINA edugaming-app. In particular, areas 'Safety and Compliance' have been chosen in order to accommodate several topics out of the huge selection that had been gained during the initial phase of the project. Thus section 2 commences by giving short descriptions of six subtopics, three for each area (Safety & Compliance). A didactical concept as well as a sketch for an overall storyline follow for a selected subset (First Aid, Dangerous Goods, Cargo Securing) that is to feature in the prototype app. Sections 3 to 5 deal with these topics in more detail, presenting the scope of the material that is to be covered in the initial versions of the MARTINA application. Section 6 contains further descriptions of schedule, app structure, and storyline, appendices contain the actual material that is to be covered in the first versions of the MARTINA app.
