Abstract: Der Einsatz von Technologie zur systematischen Verarbeitung und Nutzung von Informationen hat für die Bankwirtschaft einen extrem hohen Stellenwert. So wird der gegenwärtige Strukturwandel im wesentlichen durch technischen Fortschritt in Form moderner Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien (IT) getrieben. Aufgrund der enormen Bedeutung einer leistungsfähigen Informationsverarbeitung wird das Bankgeschäft vielfach als Technology-driven Business bezeichnet.
