Abstract: Der Ausbildungsmarkt in Nordrhein-Westfalen hat sich für ausbildungsinteressierte junge Menschen deutlich verschärft. Lange Zeit nahm das bevölkerungsreiche und wirtschaftspolitisch bedeutende Bundesland eine Vorreiterrolle bei der Förderung betrieblicher Ausbildung ein. Die vorliegende Studie analysiert die aktuelle Entwicklung anhand zentraler Kennzahlen und zeigt einen grundlegenden Wandel: Die Ausbildungschancen haben sich auch in Nordrhein-Westfalen spürbar verschlechtert. Noch nie waren dort so viele junge Menschen bei der Suche nach einem Ausbildungsplatz unversorgt. Die Studie nimmt deshalb politische Instrumente in den Blick.
