Detection of Key Sectors within a Social Accounting Matrix (GAMS code)
Ferran Sancho
Grecs Computer Code from Research Group in Computation and Simulations (GRECS)
Abstract:
Income-consumption-output feedbacks may (and indeed will) alter the rank and hierarchy of key sectors detected by standard interindustry analysis. This simple example in GAMS code illustrates the methodology developed in Cardenete & Sancho, "Missing Links in Key Sectors Analysis", Economic Systems Research, 2006. The user can easily adapt the code to his/her SAM database and choice of endogenous SAM accounts.
