SORTROWS: Stata program to perform sort within observation
Jeffrey Arnold ()
Statistical Software Components from Boston College Department of Economics
Abstract:
sortrows sorts a variable list within each observation (row). Unlike rowsort, sortrows operates on vectors, and is faster than looping through observations. It can sort both numeric and string variables, and allows for either the replacement of the existing variables, or the generation of a new variable list.
Language: Stata
Requires: Stata version 9
Date: 2005-12-10, Revised 2006-11-28
Note: This module should be installed from within Stata by typing "ssc install sortrows". The module is made available under terms of the GPL v3 (https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.txt). Windows users should not attempt to download these files with a web browser.
