LOOKFOR_VAL: Stata module to search the current dataset for values that match a specified pattern

Statistical Software Components from Boston College Department of Economics

Abstract: lookfor_val searches the current dataset for values that match a specified pattern. Variable names are displayed and stored in r(varlist) if any value of a variable matches the pattern specified. Numeric and string variables are searched. If varlist is not specified it defaults to _all.
