DOSERESPONSE2: Stata module to estimate generalized propensity score

Marco Ventura and Barbara Guardabascio

Statistical Software Components from Boston College Department of Economics

Abstract: doseresponse2 estimates the generalized propensity score (GPS) by GLM, allowing six different distribution functions: binomial, gamma, inverse gaussian, negative binomial, normal and poisson coupled with admissible links; tests the balancing property by calling the routine gpscore2. For the normal case assesses the validity of the assumed normal distribution model by a user-specified goodness-of-fit test. Then it estimates the conditional expectation of the outcome given the observed treatment and the estimated GPS by calling the routine doseresponse_model. Finally, doseresponse2 estimates the average potential outcome for each level of the treatment in which the user is interested.
