SGINI: Stata module to compute Generalized Gini and Concentration coefficients, Gini correlations and fractional ranks

Philippe Van Kerm

Statistical Software Components from Boston College Department of Economics

Abstract: sgini is a light-weight package to calculate generalized Gini and Concentration coefficients. It also allows factor decomposition (income source). As a by-product, the companion commands sginicorr computes (generalized) Gini correlations and fracrank generates fractional rank variables.

Language: Stata
Requires: Stata version 8.2
Keywords: inequality; Gini; concentration; ranks (search for similar items in EconPapers)
