SUBMATRIX: Stata module to perform advanced matrix subscripting
Daniele Spinelli
Statistical Software Components from Boston College Department of Economics
Abstract:
The submatrix command supports users in the advanced extraction of submatrices from Stata matrices. The submatrix command subsets Stata matrices from multiple non-consecutive rows or columns, using number and/or name subscripting. submatrix introduces permutation vectors in the Stata environment exploiting numlist; this feature is already available in Mata and allows easier and faster matrix subscripting. Furthermore, submatrix allows replication, rearrangement, and deletion of elements from Stata matrices.
