Abstract:
trialcounts is a program for calculating the number of subjects recruited to, and the number having reached subsequent scheduled visits, in a clinical trial based on supplied linear piecewise recruitment functions, whilst additionally accounting for potential dropout. From these are derived the 'cohort weights' which can be used in the mixedpower program in order to calculate power or sample size for linear mixed models, accounting for the recruitment and dropout functions established in trialcounts at a given point in trial time.
