Abstract: editanything is a one-command replacement for SSC's -adoedit- that works on any text file -- not just .ado. It searches the ado-path, opens in the Do-file Editor, Viewer, or your OS default app, and refuses to clobber Stata-supplied files (use -replace- to copy them into PERSONAL first). Supports: .ado .sthlp .hlp .smcl .do .mata .md .markdown .html .htm .tex .bib .xml .rst .csv .tsv .txt .raw .log .R .r .py .js .css .sql .sh .bat .ps1 .json .yaml .yml .toml .ini .cfg .conf .env -- and any other plain-text file.
