CHAOTICMAPS: MATLAB function to generate chaotic 1D and 2D discrete maps

Shapour Mohammadi

Statistical Software Components from Boston College Department of Economics

Abstract: This mfile is for generating chaotic 1D and 2D discrete maps. If you need more realizations(observations) you can increase N, otherwise less observations are needed please decrease N to any number that you want. Also one can changes parameters generating other form of chaotic maps. The code generates noisy series by adding random numbers with mean aero and standard deviation of 0.1.One can increase or decrease noise level simply by changing Noise level. Note that this noise is observational noise, for inducing system noise, one should add the noise inside of the loop.
