Treasury Modelling and Data Tools from New Zealand Treasury

Abstract: The Fiscal Strategy Model (published since 2007) is a spreadsheet-based model that projects the financial performance and the financial position of the New Zealand government over a medium-term horizon. It is published with the latest Economic and Fiscal Update (forecasts) two or three times a year. The latest edition is the FSM - BEFU 2024 published with the Treasury's Budget Economic and Fiscal Update on 30 May 2024. Previous editions back to 2007 are available on the Treasury website.
