Strategies of Territorial Development and Quality of Life

Vladimir Alexandrovich Plotnikov () and Vladimir Alexandrovich Shamakhov ()

Administrative Consulting, issue 7

Abstract: The Russian Federation differs in a considerable variety of regional conditions that generates differentiation of territories on indicators of social and economic development. These distinctions demand the account in strategy of development of subjects of federation and municipalities. At the same time, all these strategies have to be directed on achievement of the general reference point - improvement of quality and a standard of life of the population. The comparative analysis of the strategic documents developed and accepted at the level of territories showed that this reference point is not always accurately designated as the priority. It sets the direction of further development of the theory and practice of strategic management of territorial development in the country.
