RUSSIAN FOREIGN TRADE IN 2014: VIEW THROUGH SANCTIONS

Abstract: The article provides the Russian foreign trade review after introducing international sanctions during the Ukrainian crisis in 2014. The main macroeconomic indicators (export, import, foreign trade turnover) dynamics is examined. Special attention is given to the change of the Russian foreign trade structure with EAEU and countries,which introduced sanctions. To conclude, due to the sanctions the frozen sectors of Russian export and import began to change, to gain potential. Now Russia has a chance to expand export of the manufacturing industry products as well as to develop import substitution. It will be possible, if export support measures are completely applied.
