Abstract:
The article presents the analysis of the current Shanghai Cooperation Organization development. Assesses the role and capabilities of Russia and China within the organization. Focuses on the main trends of the trade and economic cooperation between countries - participants of the SCO. Highlights the basic contradictions of regional cooperation development in the SCO: dependence of the economic interests of the member countries of the political conditions prevailing in the Central Asian region; strengthening the economic role of China; no funding mechanism for multilateral projects.
