US INTERNATIONAL TRADE POSITION AT THE NEW STAGE OF GLOBAL COMPETITION

Abstract: The article examines main US international trade trends at the new stage of global competition at the beginning XXI century; key indicators of US goods/services exports and imports, the trade balance dynamics and structure; exports role in the American economic recovery. President Obama’s National Export Initiative- policy improvements to provide exporters more tailored assistance and information; expand access to export financing - has been analyzed as an important instrument for continued growth of the economy, creation of jobs in US, as well as for nation’s competitiveness and national security. Special attention has been paid to the ambitious US plans, concerning the situation surrounding the creation of two of the largest integrated projects - the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Trans-Atlantic Trade andInvestment Partnership.
