Abstract:
Fresh-market vegetable production has been advocated as a means of improving incomes of small farmers in northern Florida and southern Georgia. The role ~f price variability, price flexibility and income elasticities in improving price expectations and evaluating crop selection is discussed. These concepts are applied to the analysis of poten- _tial "market windows" for area growers.
