Abstract:
A biomass alcohol sector was added to an energy macro-model to examine the effect of oil price feedbacks on the production costs and development of biomass alcohols and synfuels derived from oil shale and coal. Coal liquids costs were most sensitive to oil price increases while biomass alcohol costs were least sensitive.
