Abstract:
The symposium seeks to engage professionals in Agricultural and Applied Economics in sharing experiences and insights to develop a common understanding on agricultural value chain analysis. Reaching consensus on how to integrate climate change aspects in agricultural value chain research and capacity development in institutions of higher learning will be important. Focusing on horticulture value chains, the symposium will provide a forum to refine, harmonize or contextualize agribusiness curricula in Universities across the world with a view to integrating value chain and climate change aspects in training modules and research.
