Abstract: The purpose of the article was to show the state of food security of countries with different levels of income and representation of factors affecting this security. It was found that the greatest factor limiting the level of food security is insufficient level of price affordability while less important is access to food. The disproportion in terms of food security between the richest and poorest countries is large, but in recent years is reduced.
