Abstract: The aim of this article was to discuss the dependence between entrepreneurship level and location to the towns in rural areas of the Zachodniopomorskie voivodeship. Entrepreneurship level and location to the towns were determined using the synthetic index. Based on the results of the analyses it can be concluded that proximity to towns infl uences positively the entrepreneurship level in rural areas of the Zachodniopomorskie voivodeship.
