Abstract:
A quadratic almost ideal demand system with polynomial distributed lags of advertising variable was estimated using data from multiple sources (years 2000-2011) to examine relationships among four milk types. Uncompensated own-price elasticities were negative while advertising elasticities were positive for reduced and skim milk types and negative for whole milk.
